| Result | pump_head::calculateFromSuctionGauge (const SuctionGaugeInput &input) |

| Result | pump_head::calculateFromSuctionTank (const SuctionTankInput &input) |
| Calculates pump head for a system supplied from a pressurized suction tank. | |
The calculation resolves pump head into elevation, pressure, velocity, and estimated suction- and discharge-line friction components. Suction conditions may be defined by either a pressure gauge or a pressurized tank. Gauge elevations are measured at the centers of the gauges from a common datum and must correspond to the supplied pressure readings. If a reading is corrected to another reference elevation, use that elevation instead.
